Came to big bad NYC and had a rough time adjusting in some ways but a tremendous lover of people.

It's indescribable what any dog brings but especially a rescue dog.  You give up a lot of yourself to have a dog but it almost always comes back in spades.

  You can easily judge a man by how they treat pets, and animals in general.  Thus, you let us know a bit about your character, through the write as well.

The rescue service said greyhound and whippet but I've come to learn she's more plott hound and whippet.  I asked my vet and he just said mixed breed hound...  I've had dogs and cats my whole life.  I waited 6 years after my last dog passed.  She was my heart and I didn't think I could do it again but this young lady has won our hearts.  Took less than a day to know she was a keeper.  Quirks as many as the day is long but slowly and surely she's become a watch dog and watching out for us.  You can learn a lot about life from animals.  Everyday is a blessing.

Onyx is quite a love child.  Every pet has its own unique personality but this hound really is a lover. She's ģentle but protective.  Never looks for trouble but will certainly defend if trouble comes a calling.  On the street she often ignores dogs who bark at her, usually the small ones.  It makes me laugh how she looks at them and dismisses them as not worth the trouble when there is wonderful smelly garbage to be sniffed.  As with any pet she brings joy and laughter...

I've had cats and dogs most of my life.  
I still talk to my departed dog Ginger.  My nephew drew her likeness in pen and ink. I often ask her to watch over Onyx and teach her how to be a city dog. So far so good !!
