Dear Great One

I can only imagine how busy you must be.
The eternal administration and maintenance in heaven
can't leave much time for the golf course
or the finer pleasures that an omnipotent being might enjoy.
I do apologize for my direct approach but I can't find a suggestion box
and the churches where I live have mostly had to close.
As I got older I've witnessed the crazy world you made
spinning rapidly out of control and for some time now
I've been kicking this question down the road.
When you made us humans in your own image
why did you make us age the way we do.
Decay isn't pretty and I can't imagine it's a problem
you have to deal with yourself.
Wouldn't it be better to give every adult
an alloted lifespan without the conveyor belt of ailments
that afflicts old age.
I'm sure it would help the angels to plan strategically
and maybe wrong foot some of the Devil's dirty deeds.
If you'd only forgive that business with the apple
we would all be much happier
and more respectful through our golden years
then perhaps everyone could enjoy more time
on the course
