Another Window

Another window, another dream
I never know what to call home anymore
Different voices, different faces
Disillusioned; I no longer know where my place is

Angry wind overpowers the heavy rain
As his screaming dulls the impact of your tears
One to drown, one to collapse
There’s no time to sleep tonight

Pull the curtains
Pull the curtains, darling
Pull them tight

I intend to offend
I mean to enlighten
I strive to define
What we never bring to light

Another chance to believe
Another opportunity to leave
What is all we need
But can't bring ourselves to want

Pull the covers up
Pull the covers up, darling
Pull the covers

Seems the cracks in my heart
Became wrinkles in my brain
What was meant to tear me apart
Only drove me sane

Pull the covers up and start again tomorrow
This is your time and nothing's left to borrow
The monsters die with the sunrise
Hiding behind those eyes

Secrets never last
In castles of glass
Secrets never last
In castles of glass

Close the door
Close the door, darling
Just close the door
