Religious

I have never been super religious
but when we were together,

I often found myself begging God,
the universe, or whatever was out there
for our love to be infinite
because I was certain your eyes
were the only pair I ever wanted to gaze into.

But now that you are gone,
I must beg to whoever can possibly hear me
for the strength to move on from you.
