Beauty and Bewilderment

The most intense landscape
swallowed in the sweltering sun,
the desert screams in silence.

Sandstorms sprouting and small houses in the distance,
this land of dust and heat demands the strongest will to survive.
On this path you will meet the kindest and most resilient of beings
seeing life from an ancient but timeless perspective.
Determined and confident in each moment of uncertainty
is what you must be in this most unforgiving of environments.

Surrounding mountains sheltered in the shade of the clouds.
Beyond the brutality of this landscape
there lies beauty and bewilderment,
a world so baffling in its creation spanning millions of years.

Each formation fills the mind with wonder and the soul with serenity.

The roads we’re roaming stretch on infinitely,
as the mountains fade from focus..
it is the vastness of the sand dunes which dominate the terrain.
Vegetation diminishing with less and less sources of replenishment,
now only rocks bathe beneath the Namibian sky.
