Letting Go

I have a unique relationship with my family. We are always there for each other. Just be there for your daughter and cherish her.    

We are that family as well. Its basically unheard of these days...We are super close as a tight nit family Its my MIL that says stupid shit and we have to tell her to stfu!

We as humans say and do stupid things at times. We as a family are free to speak if respect is still there.  

She knew better....

Time is difficult to measure, I know. I've written a few like you. 'These Days That Have Gone' is one of mine. You won't find it anywhere yet though! 😉

Post it, Billy. Its so hard with kids. Ugh. And now theres storms....shes terrified of storms, and away from home...I may lose my shit tonight.....

But she's over 21, right? The reason I ask (not that you're obiliged to answer) is that, do you remember what you were like at 21? Nothing frightened you then, I bet?

Fucking figures, first night in the dorms, power goes out and neither of us are fans of storms, nor here roomies. Like deathly afraid. Its hot too. 6th floor. damn it.  At least they have each other even though they are all strangers. They are all up in the common are of their dorm. my baby said shell call me if she needs to and we can gonna talk on the phone til we fall asleep. Great first day night away from home. ugh! Im dying a little inside right now. :( I think this storm created forever friends.....<3 the news says its all over.

I think if she can get through a very tough first night like last night then, in theory, every subsequent night's gonna feel easier by comparison. 😊

Wow, talk about being tested! Yikes. I’m glad everyone is ok. That first night away is so rough. It’s a beautiful poem and so relatable. Nothing marks the passage of time than the growth of a child. You realize just how fleeting life is. Congratulations to your daughter for such an achievement and to you for still being upright and taking nourishment with the adjustment. 😉
