A Seam of Sapphire

Blue sapphire seam
Between shore and sky
Winter is far away
No sirens no trouble
The loud ones sleep off their hangovers

The red sky
The pink sky
The blue sky
Belongs to those who gaze
Up from the small world

A seam of sapphire
Between shore and sky
Glimmers under the sun
Winter is far away
The water is warm
No sirens no anger
No police
Quiet like a Victorian Sunday
Men walk about bare chested
If only the women could to

Every tree sings its own song
As the wind pipes through the branches.
