Live another Day

I look forward
to dawn's golden light
radiant as it peeks
from the grey clouds
awakening from nights slumber

dewdrops embrace each grass blade
on Jasmine's fragrant petals
wet the passing squirrel
imitating early birds
scouring for food

rustling leaves symphonic tune
as gentle zephyr caresses
the new dawn
and I rejoice

I am still here
alive and breathing
