Torn

He stood alone
Watching the horizon colors change
As day peacefully surrendered to the comfortable night

His eyes gleamed
Memories now seem so strange
As time relentlessly persists its endless fight

His head bowed
Shadows surrounding the lone ghost
As darkness and cold replace the bright and warm

He laid alone
Flesh once alive no longer the host
As spirits gazed down
From the world of the living
now Torn
