Lust of My Eyes
My heart was captured
by the lust of my eyes and
failed me again that night.
I felt only pleasure as I entered
a deep sin against my lover’s wife.
At the moment of his coming,
I tasted her tears and knew
a life that should have been hers
was beginning in me.
