To My Wolf
To my inner wolf a small token of gratitude I leave
These lessons learned into my bones I weave
Reshaped bones which fastened new strength
Hoping to stay with stronger bones, growth and more length
Tell me wolf when the enlightened moments have passed
When the world goes quiet, and the days go by, will wisdom last
Cradling a new spirit, so gentle and new
A pattern emerges, beautifully shaped, lines redrew
Asking this small ember of change to not leave
Strength of the tree has only just been planted, still a seed
Always to honor and create myself
Under my tree gathering wisdom , more lovely than wealth
My wolf, my protector
If ego and pride take root, I ask Great Spirit to be my corrector
