For-aging

Age forages for truth
within the spirit of the times
but poetry distracts me
with uncompleted lines
Not to be defeated
I'm persisting with my task
and when inspiration beckons
I cast aside the mask
Creative juices flow
ripe and ready to be gleaned
but for now I'm none the wiser
as to what life's poem means
