Withstand the Wind
The wind is harsh
But will I crumble?
Every gust a thrash
The breeze pushes me
To my knees
And I don’t know how to move onward
Thus I’m stuck in a scene
A never ending flashback
The only sense of relief is a dream
Cause nothing decides to repeat
So I’m awake when I sleep
Every moment has been foreseen
Every day simply on repeat
And the wind pushes harder
Harder than it ever has before
Suddenly my legs give in
And I’m left floating in the wind
Back to my thin ends
Where the rope tangles around my neck
And I’m forced to merely give in
But who would I be if not a coward
To simply allow myself to be devoured
I don’t know where I am
I don’t even know who it is that I can be
Please don’t scream at me
I’m just trying to understand this surface we live on
Why we have grown the way we have
And my heartbeat all but lingers
Whispering sullen songs for those who are casted aside
Forgotten by the likes of mankind
For it is we who have the power to withstand the wind
But the wind is no longer a natural force
I am bound by laws which we enforce
The wind flows through my hollow body
As I hope someday I will be somebody
I will use my strength and push forwards
Forgetting the day which I faltered
But will I crumble?
Every gust a thrash
The breeze pushes me
To my knees
And I don’t know how to move onward
Thus I’m stuck in a scene
A never ending flashback
The only sense of relief is a dream
Cause nothing decides to repeat
So I’m awake when I sleep
Every moment has been foreseen
Every day simply on repeat
And the wind pushes harder
Harder than it ever has before
Suddenly my legs give in
And I’m left floating in the wind
Back to my thin ends
Where the rope tangles around my neck
And I’m forced to merely give in
But who would I be if not a coward
To simply allow myself to be devoured
I don’t know where I am
I don’t even know who it is that I can be
Please don’t scream at me
I’m just trying to understand this surface we live on
Why we have grown the way we have
And my heartbeat all but lingers
Whispering sullen songs for those who are casted aside
