I read this as a 'Self ' poem, Dimps, so I'd have to say for all of the reasons you mention. 💐

Ha! I'm probably miles off here, Dimps but I'll have a bash at it. 🙃

The 'Why' lines of the poem are you yourself, asking the questions of yourself.
The 'You' lines of the poem are you yourself – or even someone else – giving you the answers.

To clarify what I mean, I'll invert a couple of lines:

'Why should anyone love you?
You are my love.'


Like I said, no doubt I'm miles off.

A final word on the form:
I think the poem would be even  more effective if you split it into two-line stanzas:


'You are my thought
why should anyone think of you?  

You are my love
why should anyone love you?'

and so on.


All of that was the way I initially read it.
