midnight blue
the body unravels,
pulls aches
bites from its ligaments
strums on the veins
and thrums
creeping through to find an outing
for a debut into light
its unlikely not to
become tangled in all of that
unwarranted unstringing
but one can ignore it
if they stay up late
watch the moon
peel her onion layers
drop
the ideas of ever having
a beating thing that does not sting
you cant make it soften where it brings
the afterburn
and then pure
tireless silence
