She's Just A Vacation

For you she is like Mexico
A place you sometimes choose to go
Someplace that feels good for the time you’re in her
A warm village of insatiable decadence that can feel like a cure
Just pleasing, dangerous and exotic enough to be magical
It’s your vacation so you believe there’s no need to be reciprocal
She’s just close enough and mostly cheap
You don’t have to be rich to see her, you can feel like a king  
Whenever you want to Mi Amore…even twice a week
Not a place you want to live or forever be
Only dream for a while on her sandy beach  
There is a part of you that might wish you could, but you’ll never move  
Too many logistics, too many things that won’t go smooth  
Too many risks for the ultimate reward of being fully free
So you deny yourself and barely exist outside her gulf stream
