Even The Moon Blushes After Midnight
Even
The Moon Blushes
After Midnight
She touches the people of her life
with her husband as her labor of romance
or her case study in the healing power of love.
She seeks to find out what can’t women heal?
Her role in the universe is that of world mender.
And so their journey begins with
his rose petal embrace of her waist
He longs to be the gown
That hugs her rosy hips
She is his angel of the morning
Who breathes life into his withered heart
with velvet softness that knows no plight
He gathers her for a waltz of the roses
Her pink powdered cheeks are a coy ploy
For nature’s blush
As her silken flower succors his soul
In rouge bouquet heaven scent
as lovebirds breathe
the floral fragrance of spring
deep in the lave
where lovers bathe
in the birdbath
of vernal hips
of sweet rose blues
whose petals luxuriate
in tropic of Eden
with existential fig leaf
for hidden cosmos
as original as sin
on the birth of the autumn
when the fall felt heavy
as a cross of tree boughs
carrying the weight of love
