I heard the sun laugh

Because I
thought of you
dying behind
a screen

never allowing
others close enough
to explore how much
depth brown eyes
could possibly hold

because you
always preferred
being unseen
by everyone

including myself,

although you
would argue over
that one without
a shred of doubt

for whatever
that reason is
I will never learn

not truthfully
anyway,

I thought of you
dying behind
a screen

because you prefer
happily wasting
everything that
doesn't align
with you

unable to stand
anything that forms
a little differently
to what you
expected

which is where
we ended up
worlds apart,

naturally
my name
ended up
carved on
your list

but the sun
serves as
a reminder

that everything
doesn't require
shit endings,

it will show up
shining bright
without fail

while I wear
black shades
sipping on
good tea

because
the title
told me
better.
