Weightless
When you came home from work,
I saw the stress of your world
Sinking into each step.
Then my eyes would meet yours
And every foot closer,
The weight would get softer,
Lighter,
Brighter.
I’d feel nails scrape my scalp,
A whisper of hairs on my neck,
And I’d whisper back:
You don’t have to bear everything on your own.
I saw the stress of your world
Sinking into each step.
Then my eyes would meet yours
And every foot closer,
The weight would get softer,
Lighter,
Brighter.
I’d feel nails scrape my scalp,
A whisper of hairs on my neck,
And I’d whisper back:
You don’t have to bear everything on your own.
