A King’s Creed

The Year 967 B.C.E

Upon the parchment set upon my heart
As old as time that has seen the glory in my eyes
The servitude of a King, heir of Hebrew King David who fought Goliath
To the vast terrain of Israel may the strength of my staff comfort me
My ruling declared in the atrocity of battle
The seeds of my loins shall not be divided among the chosen ideology of idle Gods

One God shall be given unto man
Allow my sacred spectra to unbeknown these words I cast unto the fiber of my being
The pledge of my words, until it shall be the doctrine of my creed
The staff of thy elders, shall not be smite
Unto it was done
To the elders of the Sky it shall be written

His story will be told from his early years unto his ascending

Author's Note
Solomon was the biblical king most famous for his wisdom. In Kings he sacrificed to God, and God later appeared to him in a dream, asking what Solomon wanted from God. Solomon asked for wisdom in order to better rule and guide his people.

What an extraordinary King during his reign
