Lonely Highway - with Deliabear

Now that my shadow is fading to pale.
In the deteriorating caverns of my mind,
In a decrepit wail.
Memory's leaves fell in the autumn of my life.
Lonely roads seem lonelier.
Aching souls seem emptier.
Haunting voices are a lingering echo.
And the bone-chilling wind knows my name.

I think of a time, that sparks in my mind.
When nature held my tiny hand.
The wind whistled the piccolo.
In my budding spring,
How could I ever have known
That my autumn would come, and
I would grow old.
