How Remarkable / Mother's Poem

How remarkable that
a young man half my age
finds pleasure in me.

Please don’t judge. How can
I do otherwise when my
lusts are set free by his
unexpected attention?

I spread in anticipation of him,
open to all that is possible.
I accept all that he brings,
a tender kiss,
a breathless whisper,
the novice searching
to find his place.

I smile at his aggressive
rooting against me,
missing and missing again.
Finally, my fingers guide him
and he sighs.

It was awkward, but
still beautiful to a lonesome
woman his mother’s age.

Author's Note
I found this in my mother's writing. I didn't know about this affair but suspect I know which neighbor boy was involved. Photo is edited from one of her favorites I took of her two years ago.
