Image for the poem Stolen

Stolen

Raped at four, Forced at six,
Sold at eleven
for someone else's kicks,
Degraded at twelve
by more than fifteen men,
Saved from trafficking at sixteen,
I lost all that I am.

Home invaded when twenty
Never felt save since
My skull broken at thirty-two
From then on, I always wince
Addicted by that time
I couldn't handle the pain
Of being disposable and mangled
It would never be the same

Every time I screamed "no"
I got silenced
where they could
In a world led by men and women,
stolen of motherhood.

Slavery still exists
And every 26 seconds
A child is sold into slavery.

Author's Note
The only difference between criminals who are protected by institutional veils and those who are not, is the extent of their influence, not their underlying psycho-pathology. With mounting evidence of organized pedophilia and child-trafficking networks implicating high-level government, church and charitable institutions, many informed members of the community are left wondering: Are the world's taxpayers unwittingly be used to fund organized crime? How do we bring criminals to justice if the criminals themselves control our justice and information systems?
