encROACHment

secret night carrier
     of a million germs,
          tiptoeing in the dark,
          soliciting the stark
     mama full of squirms,
as though they'd buried her

                   alive.

zithered above her bed,
     panic tigress leap,
          for fear that nasty thing
          would zap her with his sting.
     one dishevelled heap
plummeting in a dead

                    nosedive.

  and the night thief slips into his crack;
when the scream dust settles, will be back

                    the hive.
