Still Water of My Soul

Never lost in the twilight as long as I have a soul
the ghost of memories listening to the pulse
of nature's winds measuring man

at peace with the epiphany in the trees
as the herons return to the ponds
of still waters

with no discrimination of the rushing silence
preaching a sermon in the rising canes
calming the soothing spirits
