Run
Run
Some run to remember, some run to forget,
I run to calm voices,
the doubts in my head.
I run to lessen
the wildness in my bones, to reduce the temptations of Lifes Game of Thrones.
I run to remember
the face of my father, to stick to the path, after years of disorder.
I run to release,
the feelings coiled up, lest melancholy beauty, from me does erupt.
I run to relive
all my Glory Years,
when I dared challenge the gods, and made them know fear.
I run to remind me,
to stand still is to die,
it helps remove anguish, my inner world cry.
Do I run to the future?
Or to escape from the past?
It matters not, it’s the journey, the reason we are cast.
Take my hand and join me,
can you run without care?
Lose yourself in the moment,
In order to win, first you must dare.
We will run till we arrive,
back at the start,
Relive and relove,
rewind the clocks in our hearts,
Life is not waiting
for you to make the first move, so run to have purpose,
to stop is to lose.
Some run to remember, some run to forget,
I run to calm voices,
the doubts in my head.
I run to lessen
