The Wainwrights

The Lake District Wainwrights
214 if you're counting
An impressive display
Of hill, peak and mountain

Across the A66
A scenic drive is all it takes
To lead you to the splendour
And the beauty of the Lakes

Whether traversing the peaks alone
Or with friends on the way
An adventure to the Lake District
Is always a good day

Exploring the great outdoors
What a way to spend your time
Though the hikes may be hard
The views are always worth the climb

The summits are sensational
And should seen in every season
Sometimes soaked in sun
And other times freezing

The 214 Wainwrights
Some big and some small
Today I'm proud to say
That I've finally conquered them all!
