Dangerous Friend

My shadow does not need the light,
does not bother to be polite,
doesn’t care about proper or what should be,
my shadow invades every part of me,
my shadow swears and fucks inside,
touches things I can’t decide,
it rules and breaks and covers all,
shiny like a latex ball,
because my shadow likes to reflect,
tells me we’re the best one yet,
I swear it could destroy my life,
but it says I always worry too much.
