The Moonlight in Paulo's Eyes

the eyes, always the eyes,
in pairs or bundles
so wet eyes.

the eyes that sometimes open
are so blind they only see the light
and forget the shadow
and its mysteries

that bask in the shadow of eyelashes
waiting for the brightness of others.

that like mirrors reflect
our existence

female eyes despising what they have
male eyes desiring what they see.

eyes changed like loves
sinful eyes
eyes that covet
eyes that cry

blind as the passions

eyes that deep down just think
that they can see

obscure as pardons
and in the end what do they see?

Lost by having a Labyrinth
at the end of the thread
eyes that melt like wings
of Icarus in the stinging sun
cold blade eyes

silver eyes
moon eyes
salty eyes
sea eyes

Adamastor's lone eye
hopeless cape eye
eye that stumbles in the counter-dance.
break

eye that stops at the request of another saucer paused in the rotation of the cassette...
eye that vomits on the beauty seen.

eyes that escape
in the eyes
shy eyes
who run away
sometimes almost lost
eyes that close...
