Insanely insane

The vodka's gone
the bubbles like champagne
pops and fizzles
In my brain
I feel the pain.

So I watch you
sitting like a dowager
frumpily sitting on a chair
regaling me with stories
judging my frailties

Who are you
my guardian angel?
have you seen my baby?
the one that was killed
by falling wistful bubbles?

Or was the baby
an old brown discarded barbie
on the sands of time
lapped by the waves
of another set of memories, eon past?

No matter
I am just insanely drunk
thinking of insanity
in this world of glaring clarity
with chinks in the armour of sanity.
