Who Kills the Kids?

Who kills the kids, books and drag-shows?  
" Shoot!" The lawmakers say, " folk know,  
an' we'll gun for 'em jail those dames,  
burn books before kid's damaged or maimed  
and ban abortions, get more kids grown."  
 
Lawmakers dread books and Dames grow,  
a Beau to Belle, or Belle to Beau...
but haven't the gumption to name  
Who kills the kids.  
 
They fight faux fights with these faux foes  
with huge flows of taxpayers dough,  
to ban kids books and Panto Dames?
and strangely, never, show much shame  
tamed by the NRA? but, whoa!
