one of the firsts i could ever talk to
in 16 years of living
a pure, old soul
wisdom and intelligence,
living with the pain.
guilt sets in
for writing about you
for talking about you
right now, this is as close as i can be
maybe i’ll never be this close again
and it hurts me,
it shatters me.
so much so
that panic sets in
every time i think about that
you being away
you protecting me from yourself.
