Sad Eyed Wanderer
Famished for love
Her sad eyes speak of solitude
In the chambers of her heart
Where she stores love notes
Like Mesozoic origami
Of giant butterflies
That flutter like flowers in the wind
To tickle her inner being
As she rises from sleep
To meet the lonely day
With a smile and a sigh
From her wandering soul
In search of a path
To the place she once knew

I knew this was something I wanted to read, sure enough. I enjoyed the whole piece but this stood out

This piece is spectacular in it's giant capacity for resonance and universal understanding. I am not surprised whatsoever that there are many here on your page who are completely moved and taken in with the emotional gravitas that you so expertly evoked. You pen strokes of aching pleas and lonely bittersweetness in these succinctly picturesque ways which fully captivates the reader, unlike any other artistry here on DUP.
To me, you've perfectly encompassed what a small kernel of hope can potentially achieve.This is masterful minimalism and I'm completely swept up and away by it.

Susan, I am breathless in thankfulness for your kind words and feelings toward my creation. Indeed here I tried for a big emotion with a depth of feeling.
