The Source of Sin

If we listen to just what the Bible
has to say,  
most notably in Jacob’s book
regarding what  it really is
that’s at the  root of mankind’s going astray
from God
and  all that’s  good
 
it isn’t sex of any kind
or desire for it.
 
It’s when the love of money’s
on a person’s mind
and fills his soul.
 
The only ones who think it’s  
otherwise
are joyless puritans
and withered sour sexist souls
who, because they fear they are
but creatures weak and know
they have  
no self-control if "woman touched",
despise themselves
and, through projection,  wrongly hold  
that God’s good gift
of pleasures of the flesh,
are for mankind
the source of evil and of sin.
