The Bardic Yearn!

What makes a poet great? I think sometimes,
It's the deft manipulation of rhymes.
But therein lay the trite potential trap
For the warlord beat of untutored rap:
 
Not to belittle it as gateway verse.
 
I see its value in its bold rehearse
To bring myriad topics to the fore
For all of humanity to explore
Their unique relationships with the muse,
And her place in the neurological news;
A place that's always confirmed the poet
As the one most recognized to show it...
 
As a proto psychological aid
Way more germane than religious charade.
