Cuddles; a dilemma of bereavement

Cuddling is a therapy everyone can enjoy,
With a soulmate,or friend it's easy to employ,
But those of us who have become bereft;
Whose lover has died or left
Our bed has become an empty nest
What shall we do for the best.
Who can step in to take the place
Of the one you used to embrace?

Relatives and friends may sympathize,
There is rarely one who can deputize;
Mourning the loss of a friend or lover
Does not leave space to discover
Who may be  right to clear the blues
To cuddle up and even snooze.
A new relationship may not be sought
Best course  of action is clearly fraught.
