The Trouble With Trump

Not to bash
but for a  
dose of realism
 
I’d  never judge
him for being deceived
into the DOD  
countermeasures
 
(against a so-called  
outbreak of something)
 
As long as he took
their advice in faith
 
But that’s  
just the problem  
 
Trump was drunk  
on his faith
faith in scientists  
politicians
and so-called friends
 
Because if you love
the deception  
to avoid the bitter truth
of wicked liars and demons
 
You drunkenly,  
foolishly pass on
and get punished  
 
To punish a president  
with a rolling coup
 
is to punish everyone  
who’s served by him
 
The problem with Trump  
is they have to lie to him
but lying works
 
when his inner skeptic  
is shielded from  
the heartbreaking truth
 
In the last days
the most upright  
are a thorn
 
and I can’t think of a  
bigger pain in the ass…
