Lily over the eternities
tenderness whispers to me
gentle faith talking to my heart
I exhale sighs and listen to her quiet voice
uttering beauty she lifts me up
reminding me of my humanity
frail and vulnerable sometimes
leaning on my understanding of things
affairs of the soul
tears roll down my face like a cleansing rain
my hurt turns back
and I know I love you
no one understood me like you
our days in the sun weren't enough
your light shine inside your darkness
Lilith my love, where are you?
jealously stole you from my side
now I traverse the depths searching
keening in our language
I may never see you again
well. I might see your body
but not the real you
I miss you sister over the eternities
I pray you will be merciful
and lend your love to me in the next life
