Naming the Nameless

A few moments for counting
Those who became my nameless muses,
Who filled my heart with passion
And my memories with bruises.

So much love given,
Only to end with bitter strife,
If only for a flicker, we danced,
And wrote the chapters of my life.

I want to speak those names,
I don't want nameless today,
Because they existed with me,
In our own special ways,

My first love Tommy,
We grew up together,
Life was hard for you,
I hope my presence made it better.

My friend Matt,
spiraling since the attic fire,
I couldn't love you back,
First mine, then your betrayal was our expire.

James,
I hate you,
Nothing more,
I completely hate you.

Sam, oh Sam, can't you see?
We will never be compatible,
Why then,
Do you still refuse to be free?

My Jimmy, that isn't mine anymore,
A best friend and lover, I couldn't keep,
If only circumstance wasn't so cruel,
No one would have to weep.

Womanizer Brad, faux compatiblity,
Always chasing someone new,
I saw through you long ago,
But you never stop do you?

And lastly, dear new muse,
I dare not to speak poetry for you,
Bat your eyes, encourage all you want,
But you'll never, ever get through.

So many lessons,
Whispered in these names,
It was refreshing to brush the dust,
From my mind's picture frames.
