Peace of Mind on Fire
Peace of Mind on Fire
Anyone can
float along
as happy
as can be
when everything
is happy as
their comfort
takes a pee.
Yet when the pressure's more than they
with comfort's loss
can bear,
it's then
we find
the truth
of all
in pain
when
touching
there.
Under all
the glittered bites
whose jagged
edges blur,
we find the need
for cleaning blood
with frankincense
and myrrh.
But in
that spinning spiral
as the threshold
peaks its spurs,
the romance
of the ages
rocks
as entropy concurs.
