Calligraphy in Repose

Calligraphy in Repose

The point
of loaded brushes
carries ink
into the fray

as surely as
the darkest night
compels
the brightest day.

Let nothing call it
to its task
until its fate
is won,

and only then,
when all else fails,
calligraphy
is done.
