Unrequited love
With a love that I couldn't hide,
I shared my feelings, I couldn't lie,
But all you said was "just a friend,"
And my heart began to bend.
On a journey to a distant place,
My thoughts of you, I couldn't replace,
I saw you with someone new,
But my love for you, it still grew.
The jealousy inside me rose,
As I watched you both pose,
But still, I couldn't turn away,
For my love for you, it will always stay.
The pain of unrequited love,
Is a burden that I must bear above,
For you, my heart will always ache,
My love for you, it will never break
I shared my feelings, I couldn't lie,
But all you said was "just a friend,"
And my heart began to bend.
On a journey to a distant place,
My thoughts of you, I couldn't replace,
I saw you with someone new,
But my love for you, it still grew.
The jealousy inside me rose,
As I watched you both pose,
But still, I couldn't turn away,
For my love for you, it will always stay.
The pain of unrequited love,
Is a burden that I must bear above,
For you, my heart will always ache,
My love for you, it will never break
