I Still Think About You.
Your baseball cap sat on my head,
Sinking over my nose, and I adored it.
Clapping and screaming, a moment of peace.
That is what I think of when I need a release.
When my brother was born and I was nervous,
You held me up, as though I deserved it.
I loved your tattoos, and your American flag.
Now that you’ve passed, it’s all that I have.
Never once have I blamed you for what happened that night,
Father’s Day is still yours, it just doesn’t feel right.
Just know I miss you, and your goodnight kisses...
And it’s on you that I waste all my wishes.
