Best Lain Words
You warred against madness
To find an escape with your words
You wrote and compiled
Tribulations and trials
An assortment of pity and envy
Of condolence
And fraught mild chaos
Thoughts running wild through a submissive mind
Anguish
Confusion
The profusion of blue is haunting
Prolifically daunting trying to keep it down
Into a pit where it belongs
Your words have wronged you so many times
They have ripped through clarity
And where are we
When they claw their way through the thickened edge
to reach the ledge
Your words; they amass there
In that compartment in your head
Where you breed sorrow and dread
All the fallow thoughts you have brought
You let them linger; never letting them go
Stationing awareness; a silver-tongued whisperer
You rise up from rejection as a deflection
But you never forget where you were
You creep in every once in a while
To define how it moves you
As it grooves through the nectar
Your words
they have eaten away at your foundation
leaving it pitted and marred
You wear the scars everyday
and sometimes
You waver back and forth
between dolefulness and distraction
In the depths is where you find traction
Down below where it simmers
Those are the best lain words
