easy way to piss off a lover ( or that seemingly innocuous moment just before a relationship ends)

      
     
it had been a difficult      
couple of days in      
our relationship      
     
one night my lover      
asked me      
(demanded actually)      
     
     "What is it YOU want!"      
     
and i responded      
     
"The Collective Short      
  Stories of R. Carver."  
   
and my lover yelled,      
     
   "WHAT THE HELL KIND    
     OF ANSWER IS THAT!"    
     
   "AND WHAT ABOUT      
     ME!"      
     
and i said,      
     
"Oh? Do you like      
 Carver also?"
