I am in regular
The bitter, metallic
taste of blood
That was the first sign
something was wrong
World still spinning,
gripping the ground
covered in dirt
covered in blood
My eyes then find
an unwanted sight
I see her lying there
fighting for life
Gasping for air
her heartbeat slow
Blood on her shirt
She turns her head
She accepted fate
welcome death
I lift her up
not accepting this
How did this happen
and why now?
I can believe this
Her mouth is a smile
