Lady Havishton

Lady Havishton
Was on her way to London
Her daughter to see
James, her Butler, would not keep in the way of her pleasure
He was there to serve and tend to her needs.
Lady Haveshton lived in a world of her own
Had different conversations (mumblings, really)
With an interlocuteur visible only to her

She dearly wished her daughter to see
But, truth is, she did not have one
The Butler, however, had a sister with the name of Emily
A young lady, a pathologist who lived in a sumptuous residence
A renovated Edwardian style home.
Emily did not wish to deceive
But also did not wish to displease

So this was no sham as she welcomed her mother home for high tea
Heard her laments while sitting at her Steinway and playing some Chopin
Noticing the sparkle in the lady's deep blue eyes.

At the end of the day it is with a smile and fond memories
In some deep corner of her mind
That Lady Havishton boarded the train back to her country estate.
