Medusa's World

Medusa's World

From anytime
and anywhere,
from where
you're going
to where
you're at,

from anythere
or anyhere,
and not having
any sense
of any other
reality
above Reality
itself,

she stands
alone
among the Sirens
and the Amazons,
solely
self-determined,
and needing
not one
defense.

Everything
was covered
with the warnings
of her tone,

and if you
fossilized
your stare
upon the visage
of her own,

you would
yourself
a hardened heart
which judges back,
a quickness
to the bone,

to turn you
into less
than free,
a statued life
of stone.
