There's something beautiful
About the life time of fabric
There's some kind of magic
When you hold up old fabric
To see the sun through the colors
It's almost as if you're holding time
A fragment of the past that persistents
Century old quilts feel so different
You can see each individual stitch
And cant help but wonder about
The hand holding the needle
Why they chose the cloth that they did
Time captured in such a beautiful way
