Shit sandwich

Life is like an open door that never shuts
People will walk in and in the end always walk out
We all worry too much, or maybe it's just me
I would always envy the care free
Society tells us to worry
Constantly feeding us our daily spoon of negativity
The sad thing for most of us is that we will spend most of our lives working jobs we hate
All that precious time that we will never get back
Just to make someone else rich
When I was at school my teachers would always drill into us about how the working world will open our eyes
Yet if anything the working world is just like school, albeit everyone is older
Still the same bullying, done by the very same bullies
Getting up at stupid o'clock just to make sure you're sat at your station on time
Punishments for not conforming to the routine
And the weekend being the only time for freedom
Yet even that is now taken away thanks to all the weekend work and 12 hour shifts
But don't worry we can retire at 70 and enjoy our lives
Your body will be broken by then
And although you might not be working by this point, your days are now filled with pissing your pants and hoping the carer doesn't steal your pension money
So remember, our journeys will all end up being very differen't and to those basking in their glory, rolling in their money and eating their cake
In the end we all be sharing that very same shit sandwich
